From September 2011, the PLC is no longer providing placements for social work students. We are now engaged in supporting Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWS) in the voluntary and independent sector (adult services). Later this year, we will also be launching a training course for experienced social workers and practice educators who may wish to become involved in supervising NQSWs.
If you are an NQSW and have recently taken up your first post in a voluntary sector agency, please contact us to see whether you are eligible to join the scheme.
If you are a small employer in the voluntary sector and have recently employed an NQSW, please contact us to see what funding and support might be available to you.
If you are interested in training to become a supervisor of NQSWs, please contact us. There are bursaries available.
